Imagine yourself doing this?
If you have an interest in traditional African instruments, African music, African Culture – then take a peek at this 1 min video of one of our delightful ‘Alexandra’s Africa’ Safari guests – embracing the spirit of the music and joining in with an interactive & impromptu drumming session at Lucky Ntimani’s Tinyiko Art School. Lucky’s school is on the Ribola Art Route, Limpopo Province, South Africa. It is one of the many traditional and creative experiences we arrange on our culture/community experience days – which is included in all our Safaris. Lucky – pictured on the right in blue trousers – does wonderful work teaching these talented local youngsters how to make and play traditional instruments. It keeps them busy, out of mischief and encourages the development of skills & behaviours and a sense of community – not least exposure to tourists and travellers who love their music – that will be helpful for them in the years ahead. For more information on creative experiences – check out the profile of Lucky and other similarly talented artists on this ‘Love Limpopo’ website!
